Free Comic Book Day is a single day when comic book shops around the world give away comic books absolutely FREE* to anyone who comes into their stores.

Comic book shops also have sales, parties, and giveaways and lots of customers get dressed up as favourite comic characters with prizes for the best costumes.

Get in the spirit by dressing up as your favourite comic hero or villain.

You might also want to check out the library's Graphic Novel Book Club, which meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month. There's a set theme rather than a set book, so it's a flexible, friendly gathering.
