SHOWAYJO brings together 12 of WA Youth Jazz Orchestra's finest musicians-six of whom were selected to represent Australia on tour in Tokyo this September-and six top students from Japan's prestigious Showa University of Music.
Under the expert direction of Gemma Farrell and Masa Ikeda, this powerhouse ensemble will deliver a swinging hour of classic big band repertoire, with soulful vocals by Sofie Kerr.
Celebrate the spirit of cross-cultural exchange through the timeless language of jazz in the intimate setting of The Ellington Jazz Club on the closing night of Perth International Jazz Festival!
