Libra | #BloodNormal campaign

Libra's bold move: new campaign shows period blood on TV, divides the nation.

In a bid to fight period stigma, Libra's not showing that weird blue liquid in its ads anymore and the internet is seriously triggered by it.

The ads also reject the current advertising trend which uses blue liquid to demonstrate the absorbency of pads and tampons, instead using a more realistic red liquid.

In an Australian-first, Libra's new campaign is depicting actual blood in a bid to tackle period stigma.

The #bloodnormal campaign feature the experience of periods and period blood openly and honestly in an attempt to normalise periods in mainstream culture, according to Libra.

Libra is taking a stand to address the stigma surrounding women's periods by launching the #BloodNormal campaign in Australia and New Zealand.

The ads openly show the experience of a periods and period blood, showing a series of young women in every day scenarios such as swimming, showering, having dinner with friends and working whilst having their period.

The 30 and 15-second TVCs air on Ten.
